Samual managed to get both blades up, blocking Ravyn's blades just in time as the darkness in the room enshrouded the light. Before he was blinded by the darkness, Samual kicked out hard at Ravyn while both of her hands were occupied, twisting his body to add extra power to his kick.

Ravyn felt the kick connected with her injured arm and bit her lip to keep from crying out. She reeled back and let her instincts adjust to the dark while the pain faded some. Thankful for the darkness that hid her face, Ravyn shook her head, bringing herself back to reality and stepping back up to attack.
Closing her eyes, she let her senses do the work for her. In her heightened state of awareness she sensed some idle shifting and lunged with her right blade, smiling when she felt it bite into something.

Samual swore softly as an unforeseen blade slashed his side heavily. Not only was he totally blind in the dark, but Soulblade was lighting him up like a beacon with his glowing runes, making it like child's play to dodge him. Plus, his newest wound was bleeding quite heavily. So, he sheathed both swords, he dodged to the side as quietly as he could. he trie to recall his swordmaster's words....
"There will come a time in every swordsman's life where he must fight a formidable foe when one or more of his senses are disabled. To combat this, you must see the unseeable. you must feel the unfeelable. You must hear the unhearable. For this, you must develop your instincts, and learn to sense your opponent through your mind. This is the only way to come out of these situations alive...."
Samual closed his eyes. He began to concentrate, trying to feel where Ravyn was.

Ravyn felt the absence of movement and stilled her own to listen. Undoubtedly he had stopped to do the same. Well two could play at that game. Let's see how good your senses are.., Ravyn thought to herself. Reaching down and pulling her makeshift lock pick from where she hid it in her boot, she threw it to the side and waited to see if he would respond to the sound.

Samual heard a clattrering sound of wood on wood to the right. He disregarded the noise, and continued to try to senjse where Ravyn was. *Hmm.... Not bad.* Samual thought, grinning in the darkness. His foe was a very tricky fighter.

Sensing no movement, Ravyn grinned to herself. So he was smarter than she thought he was. Maybe she'd throw him a bone, not everyone was as used to the dark as she was. She skipped a few steps lightly to the left, and then to the right. Hands gripping the hilts of her swords, she waited to see what he would do.

Samual immediately heard the skipping sounds and lashed out wiht his telekenisis. Grinning as he heard an intake of surprised breath, he pushed towards the far wall, where the door was cracked open a hair.

Cursing at the use of telekenisis, she felt herself pushed out the door and she landed flat on her back. Springing back to her feet, she considered going back in to kill him, but she had bigger fish to fry. She'd get back at him later. It had been fun, but it was taking up too much time. She concentrated on her darkness, securing the bubble securely around Samual and she knew they had a few minutes before it faded. "Come on Silas!" She called, heading off down the hallway and trusting her comrade to follow.

Silas went as quickly as he could after her. He wasn't as fast as he wanted to be, but he was as fast as he could be given his present condition. He felt bad that he hadn't been much of a help in Ravyn's fight, but he figured he was in no condition to help anyone. He followed Ravyn down the hallway.

Samual swore as the darkness receeded from the room. "That was INCREDIBALLY bad luck!!!" Samual yelled before trying to give chase to the prisioners. However, his side protested so severly at the sudden movement that it caused him to stumble. "Son of a...." Samual limped off to the infirmiry, knowing that he'd be useless in any conflict with his heavy wounds.
